With her new EP Dreams the Size of Texas, Amber Rae embraces a sound deeply rooted in Bluegrass tradition – and does so in a vibrant, new musical style that still feels unmistakably her own. The expressive singer, who drew attention with her last country-pop album Cowgirl Goodbye, now presents four tracks steeped in the warmth and energy of modern Bluegrass. The EP celebrated its release on May 9, 2025.

Two of the songs are lovingly reimagined versions of her own tracks from her album Cowgirl Goodbye: the title track Cowgirl Goodbye gets a fresh, dynamic Bluegrass arrangement featuring fidddle, mandolin, banjo, and upright bass, while the heartfelt ballad Sooner has been rerecorded as a moving duet – a highlight for fans of emotional depth and rich harmony.

With her rendition of the modern Bluegrass classic Dust in a Baggie, Amber also pays tribute to a genre that has deeply inspired her. At the heart of the EP, however, lies the title track Dreams the Size of Texas – a joyful, dreamy tune that captures a sense of wanderlust, freedom, and musical joy.

This EP not only showcases Amber Rae’s stylistic versatility but also her deep love for country music. Dreams the Size of Texas is a heartfelt homage to her roots – and a lovingly crafted chapter in her musical journey.
